Laurent van Durme

Laurent Van Durme has 23 years of work experience. Laurent started their career in 1997 as a Special Project Engineer and internal sales support at EMAC works. After a year, they moved to Biosense Webster as an installation and maintenance engineer, where they provided technical support for a new generation of low X-ray, 3D imaging systems. In 2000, they joined BT ltd branch of Belgium as a Tac Data Network Engineer, where they performed 3rd level support and maintenance for various platforms and managed network management tasks. In 2008, they joined Alcatel-Lucent as a Network Engineer, providing 3rd level support for network operations. Currently, they work at BICS as an International Senior Solution Engineer and the International Capacity Planning and Deployment Manager. In this role, they manage the entire lifecycle of an International Network, including network/fiber provider selection, contract negotiation, and technology deployment.

Laurent Van Durme obtained an Engineer's Degree in electro-mechanics from Haute Ecole 'Léonard de Vinci', Bruxelles, between the years 1991 and 1997. Additionally, they earned certifications in ITIL V3 from ITIL Foundation Certification Training Level in 2009 and in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in 2006.
