Brian McGuinness

Brian McGuinness has a diverse work experience in the field of biotech business development and consulting. Brian is currently serving as the VP of Business Development at Bicycle Therapeutics since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Biotech Business Development Consultant from September 2020 to May 2021. Brian has also held various roles at Crescendo Biologics Limited, including Vice President of Business Development from January 2019 to September 2020. Additionally, they have worked as a consultant for several companies in the biotech industry, including Alacrita LLP, Algeta ASA, Navion Pharma Ltd, Apex Healthcare Consulting, CellCentric, Heptares Therapeutics, and Aitua. Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated their ability to identify and facilitate new business development opportunities in the biotech sector.

Brian McGuinness completed their education in a chronological order. From 1977 to 1985, they attended Trinity School of John Whitgift, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Bristol from 1985 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology. Continuing their education, McGuinness attended the University of Southampton from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Meningococcal vaccine design. Lastly, from 2000 to 2003, they studied at The Open University and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
