Thomas Walpole

Thomas Walpole currently serves as an Associate Principal Scientist at Bicycle Therapeutics since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Protein Senior Scientist at Charles River Laboratories from November 2019 to April 2023, a Protein Scientist at Cambridge Epigenetix from February 2019 to November 2019, and a Research and Development Scientist at Cambivac Limited from April 2015 to February 2019, where vaccine development for agriculturally relevant viral diseases was the focus. Thomas also worked as a Research Scientist at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit from September 2010 to March 2015, continuing research after the completion of a PhD in Mitochondrial Biology at the University of Cambridge, with expertise in bioinformatic and mass spectrometric analysis. Earlier experience includes a Summer Student position at Liverpool John Moores University, where novel methods for LDL oxidation analysis were developed. Thomas Walpole holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Liverpool John Moores University, completed in 2010.
