Ian Rich has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ian started their career as a Video Production Intern at ProMotion Holdings, LLC in 2011. Ian then worked as a Production & Design Lead at Revolution Theme Park from 2011 to 2012. Following that, Ian worked as a Window Cleaner at Better Window Cleaning from 2012 to 2013.
In 2014, Ian joined PSAV as a Technician. Later that year, they started working at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment as a Programming Instructor at the "Skills Center" for high school students. In 2015, Ian became a Game Programming Teaching Assistant at the same institution. Ian also joined Copious Love Productions as an Intern Technical Lead for a theater production called "Codename: Kansas, Witch Hunter!" during the same year.
Ian continued their work at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment in 2015 as a Game Art Teaching Assistant and as a Programming & Computer Graphics Instructor at the "Skills Center" until 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Technical Artist & Audio Designer at Vextar Dev Team from 2015 to 2020.
Ian's most recent role is at Big Fish Games where they work as a Technical Artist III since 2020. Ian is also self-employed as a Freelance Artist since 2009.
Ian Rich has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design, which they obtained from the University of Northern Iowa from 2004 to 2009. In 2013 to 2015, they attended the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) RTO 88021, where they earned an Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development with a specialization in Game Programming. In addition to their formal education, Ian obtained a certification in Introduction to Computer Science and Programming from edX in December 2012.
