Laia Ferrer-Argemi, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.
Starting in 2012, Laia worked as a Structural Engineer at Ultramagic Baloons, where they specialized in 3D Modeling and drawing basket balloons. During this time, they also participated in various innovation projects.
In 2013, Laia became a Research Scholar at UC Irvine, where they engaged in research activities until 2014.
In 2020, Laia joined NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Doctoral Researcher, conducting research until the end of the year.
From 2015 to 2021, Laia worked at UC Irvine as a Graduate Researcher, focusing on their research projects. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant from 2019 to 2020.
In 2021, Laia took a position as a Technical Writer, which lasted until 2023.
Following this, Laia joined GE Power in 2022 as a Thermal Aerodynamics Engineer until early 2023.
Currently, Laia holds the position of Data Scientist at Big Fish Games, starting in 2023.
Laia Ferrer-Argemi, Ph.D., earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2016. In 2013, Laia also worked as a Research Scholar in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at UC Irvine. Laia'seducational journey began in 2008 when they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they completed in 2013.
In addition to their academic achievements, Laia has also obtained the Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera in October 2022.
