Mikaela Melendez

Mikaela Melendez has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 as a Quick Service Employee at Johnny's Burgers Restaurant. From there, they worked as a Guest Services Agent at ResortQuest By Wyndham Vacation Rentals in 2013. Mikaela then became a Barista at The Port Cafe from September 2013 to May 2014. Following that, Mikaela worked as an Assistant Buyer at Samtell & Son, Inc. from July 2014 to April 2015. Mikaela joined Big Onion Hospitality in June 2015 as a Sales and Events Manager and later became the Director of Sales from March 2021 to September 2022. Currently, Mikaela holds the position of Vice President of Sales, Shareholder at Big Onion Hospitality, starting in June 2022.

Mikaela Melendez completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Centereach High School from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Mikaela obtained a certification as a Cicerone Certified Beer Server from the Cicerone® Certification Program in November 2017.
