Karen Stamieszkin is a Research Scientist at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences since January 2022, with prior experience as a Ph.D. student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Maine from August 2011 to May 2024. Previously, Karen served as an Associate Scientist at Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, where responsibilities included North Atlantic right whale surveys, zooplankton collection, and data management. Earlier roles included research assistant positions focused on habitat restoration and species surveys in both the Utah Division of National Resources and Woodlot Alternatives. Karen holds a Master of Environmental Science from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Yale University.
