Phil Sprofera

Phil Sprofera has extensive work experience in the field of product management and networking. Phil is currently working as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Bigleaf Networks since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Product Manager at Dragos, Inc. from November 2021 to June 2022.

Phil's most significant role was as a Product Manager at Rackspace, where they worked from November 2007 to November 2021. During this time, they were responsible for decision-making for a $150M direct revenue Network and Security portfolio. Phil possessed exceptional expertise in networking and security, with a broad knowledge of other disciplines such as virtualization, compute, and storage. Their skills in networking expanded to include areas like security, application delivery controllers, DDOS mitigation, SDN, and cloud computing.

Before Rackspace, Phil worked as a Network Services Manager at Farm Bureau Bank from January 2002 to November 2007. Phil was responsible for network administration, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, security, and data integrity standards. Phil led a team in charge of network stability, firewall/router/switch configurations, VPN access, and intrusion detection systems.

Phil also gained experience as a Product Manager at Nortel Networks from October 2000 to September 2001. Phil excelled in competitor analysis, offering competitive features at competitive prices while maximizing profitability and driving revenue to meet sales goals.

Phil Sprofera attended Arizona State University from 1990 to 1995, where they studied Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Phil did not obtain a degree during this time. In 2012, they enrolled in San Antonio College and completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Server Administration and Networking Administration in 2013. Phil also obtained several certifications, including the "PMC Level IV" from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI) in September 2020, the "Pragmatic Marketing Certified" in May 2019, the "Akamai Partner Advanced Cloud Security" in June 2021, and the "Akamai Partner Foundations Cloud Security" in June 2021.
