Sten Bossong's work experience begins in 2007 when they served as a Manager for SPOKK Amstelveen until 2012. Sten then worked as a Medewerker communicatie for XS4ALL Internet BV from June 2013 to August 2015. Following this, Sten spent a year traveling the world with KLM from August 2015 to September 2016. Sten then returned to XS4ALL Internet BV as a Communicatiespecialist from December 2016 to December 2017. Sten joined IM Lounge - Intelligente Media in January 2018, where they held roles as a Campagne Manager until December 2018 and as a Media Consultant from January 2019 to April 2020. From July 2020 to May 2021, they worked as a Global Performance Marketeer for BeyondDutch, where they managed performance marketing for three brands and expanded their reach into nine new countries. Currently, Sten is the Chief Marketing Officer at BikeFair, an e-commerce marketplace specializing in bikes, where they oversee all marketing efforts and KPIs.

Sten Bossong's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Keizer Karel college, where they pursued their Gymnasium & Atheneum studies until 2008. In 2008, they enrolled at the University of Amsterdam and earned their Propedeuse in Taal & Communicatie in 2009. From 2009 to 2014, Sten attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Communicatiewetenschappen. In 2011-2012, they also had the opportunity to study at the University of Bergen (UiB) as part of a Minor program, focusing on Digitale Communicatie.
