Devika Zachariah

Devika Zachariah has extensive work experience in regulatory affairs. Devika currently works as the Regulatory Strategy Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at SQZ Biotechnologies from November 2021 to December 2022. Devika also served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) from December 2007 to November 2021. At IAVI, they worked towards the development of safe and effective HIV vaccines globally. Before that, they held the position of Regulatory Affairs Manager at Emisphere Technologies, where they focused on oral drug delivery technologies. Devika started their career as a QA/QC Coordinator at Weill Cornell Medical College from February 1999 to February 2006.

Devika Zachariah pursued their education at various institutions. Devika obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and English from Stony Brook University, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Later, they enrolled at Long Island University, from 2002 to 2005, to pursue a Master of Science degree in Drug Regulatory Affairs.
