Sarbjit Rai

Sarbjit Rai has over 30 years of experience in statistical programming and analysis in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, Sarbjit is the Statistical Programming Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute, where they oversee a team supporting clinical trials in TB, malaria, and infectious disease. They are also a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council officer. Prior to this role, Sarbjit worked as the Director of Statistical Programming and Analysis at Pfizer from 2020 to 2020. They also served as the Director of Statistical Programming at Array BioPharma Inc. from 2015 to 2019. Before that, Sarbjit held the position of Associate Director of Statistical Programming at Threshold Pharmaceuticals from 2013 to 2014. They also worked at Genentech as a Senior Manager of Statistical Programming and Analysis from 2001 to 2013, and at GSK as a Principal Programmer in Biometrics from 1991 to 2001.

Sarbjit Rai has a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the University of Surrey. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Science (BSc.) in Applied Biochemistry from Brunel University London. Furthermore, Sarbjit has a certification in Base SAS from the SAS Institute.
