Thomas Jørgensen

Thomas Jørgensen has over a decade of work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Thomas currently works as a Research Project Manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute. Prior to this, they held various roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, including Manager of Quality Operational Excellence, Program and Portfolio Management, and Senior Specialist of Program and Portfolio Management. Thomas also worked as a Scientist and Project Manager at ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies and held a role as a Student Assistant in Compliance at Biogen Idec. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor's Thesis in Diagnostika at Statens Serum Institut, and had a summer internship in Manufacturing Sciences at Biogen Idec, and a trainee position at NNE Pharmaplan.

Thomas Jørgensen graduated from Espergærde Gymnasium & HF in 2006 with a high school degree in Mathematics. In 2011, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Thomas also received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology from the same university in 2013. In 2011, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a graduate to further their studies in Biotechnology. Additionally, in 2012, they took a Master's degree course in Arctic Microbiology at the University Centre in Svalbard.
