Emma Lilja Sjödin

Emma Lilja Sjödin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emma is currently the Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Billhop AB, a position they have held since November 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Legal Counsel at LegalWorks Nordic from January 2017 to November 2019, specializing in data privacy and data protection. Emma also gained experience as a Legal Counsel at Inter IKEA Group from February 2018 to January 2019. In addition, Emma had a brief visit at the Court of Justice of the European Union in October 2018.

Before transitioning into the legal field, Emma worked as an HR Tax Specialist at ABB from September 2015 to December 2016, providing advice on international employer and employee tax regulations. Emma also worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior from September 2012 to September 2015, and as a Freelance Translator at IEC in Sports from April 2012 to December 2012.

Emma's career began with their studies at Uppsala University, where they worked as a student from August 2007 to December 2012. Emma also gained valuable experience as an intern at the General Legal Division, Office of Legal Affairs, United Nations, New York in the summer of 2012. Emma started their professional career as a Tax Officer at Skatteverket, where they worked from December 2011 to January 2012, with previous summer employments in 2010 and 2011. Throughout their career, Emma has demonstrated their expertise in legal counsel, data privacy, tax, and international regulations.

Emma Lilja Sjödin began their education journey at Uppsala University from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Juridik. In 2010 to 2011, they took part in an Erasmus program at the University of Lausanne - UNIL, focusing on International Law and Legal Studies with a specialization in French.

Later, in 2018, Emma Sjödin acquired the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. Emma continued their education in 2019 to 2020 at Höj Rösten politikerskola, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned during this period.
