John Pender

John Pender is the Chief of Surgery at Billings Clinic. John was previously the Director of MIS/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at ECU Physicians from July 2004 to December 2014. There, they were also the Associate Residency Program Director, General Surgery and Director of Surgical Skills lab, as well as an Assistant Professor.

John Pender was educated at Thomas Jefferson University, where they received their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. John also holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of the South, where they studied Religion/Religious Studies. Prior to their university studies, John Pender attended McCallie School.

John Pender reports to Scott Ellner, CEO. They are on a team with Samuel Sillitti - Chief of Bozeman, Erin Rains - Chief of Hospital & Acute Care, and Paula Roos - Chief Transformation Officer.
