Meher Jamil has had a varied and extensive career in the field of web design and user experience. Meher began their career in 2008 as a Web Designer at Inspirovations, where they designed templates for Inspirohost using Photoshop and Illustrator, and developed websites in HTML/CSS. In 2010, they took on an internee role as a Web Designer at 1bluemelon, where they worked in a small team on web design and development for www.learningalliance.edu. In 2012, they joined GE Healthcare as a Web Content Administrator, where they worked in web content management and digital asset systems on the GE Lifesciences E-presence project. In 2014, they returned to GE Healthcare as a User Experience & Content Strategist, where they developed and drove the user experience vision for e-commerce & other digital marketing platforms, managed the design backlog in collaboration with developers and business analysts, and developed wireframes and prototypes to visualize and test new and simpler concepts based on analytics. In 2016, they took on a freelance role as a Web Designer for WelcomeOUT, RFSL Uppsala, where they set up the domain and wordpress website. In 2020, they joined Cytiva as a User Experience Leader, where they defined the vision and strategy for the e-commerce experience for a complex business, led and empowered a team of researchers and designers, and translated business goals into UX vision and roadmaps. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Billogram as a Product Design Lead, where they are responsible for leading and coaching a team of UX and UI designers and writers, setting a design and UX vision and goals for measuring design impact, and recruiting and admin aspects of people management.

Meher Jamil obtained a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction from Uppsala University between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor degree in Multimedia Systems from Beaconhouse National University between 2004 and 2008.
