Courtney O'Connell

Courtney O'Connell's work experience includes roles at various companies. Courtney worked at Billtrust as a Software Developer since March 2023 and previously as an Associate Software Developer from January 2022 to March 2023. In these roles, they collaborated with colleagues to design, develop, test, and deploy software for payment processing. Courtney also worked with internal business units and utilized various programming languages and tools.

Before joining Billtrust, Courtney worked as a Campus Tour Guide and CS/IT Lab Assistant at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania from January 2019 to December 2021. In these roles, they provided tours to prospective students, offered information about the university and its programs, and assisted struggling computer science students with course-related questions. Courtney also worked as a NoteTaker, taking detailed class notes that were accessible to students with disabilities.

Courtney also had internship experiences at Billtrust and RobustWealth. At Billtrust, they interned as a Software Development Intern with the Money Team from May 2020 to August 2020 and with the Watchers team from May 2021 to August 2021. In both internships, they contributed to building microservices and presented their projects to developers, product owners, and upper management. At RobustWealth, they interned as a Development Team Intern, where they created the company's first serverless, Progressive Web App (PWA) for their Enterprise platform and presented on the benefits of PWAs.

Furthermore, they gained experience as a Group Leader at Black Bear Lake Day Camp in the summer of 2018.

Courtney O'Connell graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. Courtney completed the "Conflicts of Interest" and "Social and Behavioral Research - Basic/Refresher" courses from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in January 2021. Courtney also completed the "Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research" course from the same institution in January 2021. Furthermore, in May 2023, Courtney obtained the certifications "8 Git Commands You Should Know" and "How to Fearlessly Negotiate to Get More of What You Want" from LinkedIn.
