Ole Bakman Borup

Ole Bakman Borup has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Ole Bakman started their career in 2000 as a Technical Support Assistant at HK DANMARK, where they provided technical support. In 2002, they co-founded Travellog, a blog system focused on travelers and backpackers. Ole Bakman played a key role in developing and managing the platform, which operated in multiple countries.

In 2002, Ole joined Metropol Online as a Developer, where they worked until 2006. Ole Bakman then joined DIBS A/S as a Developer, contributing to software development until 2008.

Ole co-founded Innovated Aps in 2008 and Recuro ApS in the same year. These ventures added to their entrepreneurial experience and involved various responsibilities related to startup management.

From 2009 to 2010, they served as a Software Architect at DIBS A/S, working on architecture and software design. Ole Bakman then transitioned to the Danish Maritime Safety Administration as a Solution Architect before joining the Danish Maritime Authority in 2011 with a similar role. At both organizations, Ole contributed to the development and implementation of technical solutions.

In 2015, Ole founded Reepay and served as the CTO. Reepay is a subscription billing services platform designed to simplify subscription management for businesses. Ole led the technical aspects of the company until 2023.

In the same year, they joined Billwerk+ Denmark as the VP of Engineering, where they currently hold a position.

Ole Bakman Borup completed their secondary education at Nyborg Gymnasium from 1994 to 1997, with a focus on Mathematics. Ole Bakman then pursued higher education at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1998 to 2007, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science.
