Hurricane Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career as a General Laborer at John Hamilton Construction in 2008, gaining experience in manual labor. In 2010, Hamilton ventured into entrepreneurship and founded their own company, Tempest Hosting Services, which they managed until 2015. They then worked as a Software Developer at CameronTec Group from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Hamilton joined Hurricane Hamilton as a Software Developer, where they focused on full stack web development using NodeJS and open web technologies. After leaving Hurricane Hamilton, they worked as a Software Developer at TD Ameritrade from 2015 to 2016. Hamilton then became a Partner at Beer Coyote for a few months before joining StreamMe as a Principal Software Engineer from 2016 to 2018. At StreamMe, they specialized in full stack engineering with a focus on the back end, utilizing technologies such as go, Node.js, and various databases. Hamilton then joined Attune as a Senior Software Engineer from 2018 to 2019, and later became an Engineering Manager at the same company from 2019 to 2020. Most recently, Hamilton worked as a Lift Operator at Crested Butte Mountain Resort from 2021 to 2022. They are now working as a Principal Software Engineer at billy since 2022.

Hurricane Hamilton attended Calumet High School from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a High School Diploma with a focus on General Education. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2015, Hamilton studied Computer Science at Michigan Technological University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
