Emma Westas Janco

Emma Westas Janco has extensive experience in the field of materials science and biotechnology. Currently serving as the moulded fibre segment team leader, product and application developer, and laboratory manager at BIM Kemi since February 2018, Emma has demonstrated leadership and expertise in product development. Prior to this role, Emma earned a PhD in Materials Science from Chalmers tekniska högskola, where research focused on enhancing biomaterials through nanoparticle attachment and investigating their effects on human cells, bacteria, and protein adsorption. Emma's career also includes research positions at the Nordic Institute of Dental Materials and project assistance at Chalmers, alongside laboratory technician experience at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Emma holds a Master of Science in Technology with a specialization in biotechnology from Chalmers University of Technology.
