Varun Sundar

Varun Sundar has extensive work experience in the field of actuarial consulting and benefit strategy. Varun started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at Anthem in 2010 and later joined Segal Consulting as a Senior Actuarial Analyst from 2011 to 2013. Varun then worked as a Senior Actuarial Consultant at Mercer from 2013 to 2017. Currently, Varun is employed at Surest as a Benefit Strategies Lead since February 2023, after serving as a Benefit Strategist from 2017 to January 2023.

Varun Sundar earned a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2010. Varun also holds several additional certifications, including Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), both obtained in 2016. In 2014, Varun obtained the Resident Insurance Producer certification (Life, Accident and Health) from the California Department of Insurance.
