Arthur Kay

Founder at bio-bean

Arthur Kay has a long and distinguished career in the technology and design space. In 2014, they founded bio-bean Ltd, a company that recycles thousands of tonnes of spent coffee grounds into sustainable bio-products. Arthur served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company until 2018.

In 2017, they became an Entrepreneur in Residence and Visiting Lecturer at UCL, a Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London, a Consultant and Advisor at WIRED, and the Founder and Chairman of Fast Forward 2030.

In 2018, they became the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skyroom, a technology, design, and airspace development company. Arthur also became a UN Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer for the United Nations Global Compact.

In 2021, they became a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Museum of the Home. Arthur also continues to serve as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Fellow at Unreasonable.

Arthur Kay attended Marlborough College from 2004 to 2009. Arthur then went on to UCL, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc (Hons)) in Architecture in 2013. In 2017, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for Business and Entrepreneurship.
