Sreevidya M.

Sreevidya M. has a diverse work experience in the field of fermentation and microbiology. Sreevidya started their career in 2009 at ICRISAT as a Fermentation/Protein Purification Specialist, where they conducted fermentation and purification of bioactive compounds from Streptomyces cultures, testing their efficacy against phytopathogens. In 2011, they took on the role of Fermentation Specialist/Protein Purification/Biocontrol Specialist/Agronomist at ICRISAT, focusing on characterizing microbes for their biocontrol and plant growth promoting properties, studying plant-microbe interactions in the rhizosphere, and purifying Citrinin from Penicillium citrinum. Sreevidya worked in this role until 2015. In 2023, Sreevidya M. joined BIO-CAT Enzymes & Microbials as a Senior Fermentation Scientist.

Sreevidya M. obtained their Master's degree in Biochemistry from Acharya Nagarjuna University, from the years 2004 to 2006. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, completing a Master's degree in Biotechnology from 2008 to 2010. Finally, Sreevidya M. pursued their highest level of education, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University from 2011 to 2018.
