Kelly Gardner

Kelly (Karns) Gardner, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of life sciences and biotechnology. Kelly has held several leadership roles in various companies, including Bio-Techne, where they served as the Senior Director and Business Unit Leader for the Western blotting portfolio. In this role, they were responsible for developing the strategic plan and achieving revenue targets through new product development, marketing, and sales enablement. Kelly also worked as the Director of Product Management & Business Development at Bio-Techne, where they led a team responsible for product marketing and development in the Western business unit.

Prior to their time at Bio-Techne, Kelly was the Director of Strategy & Business Development at ProteinSimple and the CEO & Co-founder of Zephyrus Biosciences. Kelly has also worked as an Advisory Board member for the UC Berkeley Bakar Fellows Program and an Engineering Intern at the Universidad Politénica de Madrid.

Kelly's educational background includes a Ph.D. in bioengineering from UC Berkeley, where they were a NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a Graduate Student Instructor. Kelly was also a researcher at Yale University, specializing in biomedical engineering and biomechanics.

Throughout their career, Kelly has demonstrated expertise in strategic marketing, business development, portfolio strategy, and product development in the life sciences industry. Kelly has a strong track record of driving revenue growth and establishing successful partnerships.

Kelly (Karns) Gardner, Ph.D. holds a B.S. in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. Kelly also has a Certificate in American Course on Drug Development and Regulatory Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco. Kelly obtained a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and another Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Francisco. Additionally, they have an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. Kelly also holds a Diploma from Punahou School.
