Job description

The Information Technology Project Manager specializes in managing cross-functional teams by supporting group progress including scheduling, prioritizing, expectation setting, and cost management for projects relating to information system improvements.

Plans and coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and related information technologies.  Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.  Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.  Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.  They will work in close collaboration with Information Technology management to ensure IT systems support the specialized needs of the company.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues.
  • Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select proper course of action within a consensus-based team.
  • Identifies patterns and investigates root cause to resolve common issues.
  • Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency to drive implementation of solutions.
  • Communicates status of projects to all stakeholders and management as appropriate.

  • Completes assigned tasks and projects effectively, completely, and on time.
  • Escalates issues in a timely manner.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Not less than five (5) years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a variety of roles.
  • Not less than two (2) years of experience of relevant Project Management experience

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle the technical aspects and considerations of an IT organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and take ownership of problems.

Preferred Credentials

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience implementing ITIL based processes
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating globally distributed teams
  • Knowledge of and experience with Part 11/Annex 11, GAMP, GDPR, and NIST 800-53
  • Hands on experience with the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Sharepoint, Smartsheet, MS Project, Kneat GX, Veeam, HPE Zerto.

  • This role has no supervisory responsibilities

  • Receives direction regarding prioritization

Working Environment

  • Primarily Office
  • Occasional laboratory/clinical environment

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for up to eight (8) hours per day
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate office equipment
  • Frequent mobility needed
  • Frequent crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position
  • This is a hybrid onsite/remote position with an approximate 50% split.  Initial 30 days will be onsite.
  • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
  • Occasional weekend, holiday, and early morning/evening work required
