Kevin McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy has extensive work experience in the medical industry. Kevin currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Biocare Medical, a role they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, Kevin worked at Danaher Corporation for several years, starting in 2014. During their tenure at Danaher, they held various leadership positions, including Vice President, EMEA - Pathology, Leica Biosystems, where they led a team of 350 associates and achieved sustainable revenue growth. Kevin also served as the Director of Growth and Marketing, EMEA Pathology, and as the Advanced Staining Development Director, EMEA, both at Leica Biosystems. Before joining Danaher Corporation, Kevin worked at Leica Biosystems (A Danaher Company) as the Sales Director Europe - Advanced Staining. Kevin also has experience at Leica Microsystems as the Regional Sales Director - Northern Europe and Regional Sales Manager Northern Europe - Advanced Staining. Kevin's early career includes a role as International Sales Manager at Audit Diagnostics.

Kevin McCarthy pursued their education with a strong focus on the field of life sciences. Kevin began their academic journey at University College Cork, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry from 1991 to 1996. Motivated to deepen their knowledge in the field, they furthered their studies at University College Dublin from 1996 to 1999, earning a PhD in Biochemistry/Tumor Biology. Throughout their education, Kevin McCarthy demonstrated a clear passion for understanding the intricate workings of biological systems, particularly in relation to cancer.
