Marianne van Brussel

Marianne Van Brussel has extensive experience in assay development and project management within the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) sector, currently serving as Development Manager at Biocartis since January 2011, focusing on end-stage development, verification, and validation. Previously, Marianne held the role of Program Manager for kit development at OncoMethylome Sciences from July 2008 to December 2010, responsible for overseeing the introduction of assay products. Prior to that, at Innogenetics from January 2004 to July 2008, Marianne worked as General Development Manager, standardizing and improving assay development processes, as well as serving as a Senior Researcher and Project Manager in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases. Earlier research experience includes a position at the University of Leuven from 1990 to 1998. Marianne holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Virology from KU Leuven (1993-1997) and a Licentiate in Biology with a postgraduate focus on biotechnology from KU Leuven (1983-1987).
