David Logan

Head of Scientific Services at BioCentric

David Logan has worked in a variety of roles in the medical field since 2007. David began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they investigated neural control of standing posture and walking in able-bodied humans. In 2009, they began working as a Research Assistant at Fondazione Santa Lucia, where they studied posture and locomotion and neuromotor physiology. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Drexel University College of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Researcher, using chronic biomechanical recordings to assess multi-faceted approaches to stepping rehabilitation after spinal cord injury in rodent models, and employing brain stimulation reward to investigate neural control of locomotion. Since 2017, they have been employed at BioCentric, Inc. in various roles, including Head of Scientific Services, Medical Director, Senior Medical Writer, and Medical Writer.

David Logan received their B.S. in Biological Sciences: Neurobiology and Physiology, with a minor in English, from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2007. David continued their studies at the same institution, receiving an M.A. in Kinesiology: Motor Neuroscience in 2009. Finally, they completed their PhD in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2014.
