Jan Vorster

Jan Vorster has a diverse work experience with various roles in different industries. They started their career in 2016 as a Vacation Trainee at GRW, where they ensured assembly accuracy and conducted quality control inspections. In 2017, they completed another Vacation Training at KATLEHO BIOMEDICAL (RF), researching lung function analysis methods.

From 2018 to 2020, Jan worked as a Tutor at Stellenbosch University and BrightSparkz Tutors, assisting high school students with math, science, and engineering drawings. In 2020, they took on the role of Quality Control Officer at Rustenburg Steel Construction (RSC), managing project aspects and ensuring quality standards.

In 2021, Jan had multiple roles. Firstly, as a Biomedical/Operations Engineer at DISA Medinotec, they contributed to the company's operations. Next, at innovation4life (Pty) Ltd., they served as a Project Leader, overseeing product development and commercialization. They then joined ASML as a First Line Support Engineer, focusing on technical solutions and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Jan's most recent work experience in 2022 includes being a Business Development Manager and a Scientific and Information Officer at BioCertica. They also briefly held the position of Chief Scientific and Information Officer, responsible for research projects and advising the organization on scientific matters.

Jan Vorster completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch University from 2014 to 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in the field of Biomedical/Mechatronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they attended the University of Stuttgart for a Winter School program in International Business. In terms of certifications, Jan obtained several qualifications in 2020, including Working at Heights, First Aid Level 1, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, and Legal Liability - Supervisors/Managers from Transvaal Training. Additionally, they completed an Online South African Wine Education Course provided by Wines Of South Africa Limited in May 2020.
