Sarah Reiter

SVP, Business Development at BioConsortia

Sarah Reiter has extensive experience in the agricultural and food technology industry. Sarah is currently the SVP of Business Development at BioConsortia, Inc. and a Board Director at Cultiva LLC. Sarah also runs their own strategic advisory service called Sarah Reiter Advisory, where they specialize in marketing, business development, and M&A for ag-tech and food-tech companies.

Prior to their current roles, Sarah was the Chief Business Officer at Calyxt, overseeing commercial strategy, product portfolio strategy, marketing, communications, sales, licensing, and supply chain. Sarah launched a novel synthetic biology division and secured technology partnerships valued at over $400 million.

Sarah also served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Arcadia Biosciences, leading commercial strategy, M&A, product portfolio strategy, marketing, communications, supply chain, and sales to consumer product goods companies globally. Sarah successfully transitioned the company from a B2B business to grower and consumer product sales.

Before that, Sarah was the Chief Executive of the U.S. division at STK bio-ag technologies, where they built all functional capabilities in the country and was responsible for regulatory, sales and distribution strategy, business development, portfolio expansion, and P&L.

Sarah also held various roles at Bayer Crop Science, including Director of Corporate Strategy and Director of Global Product Management. At AgraQuest, Inc., Sarah was the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, where they managed corporate communications strategy and execution, product portfolio and development pipeline. Sarah led the company to become the most widely publicized biopesticide innovation company, which resulted in its acquisition by Bayer.

Sarah started their career at Syngenta Crop Protection, where they held various marketing and commercial roles.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated their expertise in market launches, negotiating M&A and technology agreements, building consortiums, and leading strategic initiatives in the agricultural and food technology sector.

Sarah Reiter has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/English from the University of California, Davis. Sarah also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. Additionally, Sarah has completed an AgriBusiness Seminar in Agricultural Business and Management at Harvard Business School.
