Dr. Therese Koal

Dr. Therese Koal has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Dr. Therese started their career as a Scientific Assistant at Leipzig University in 2000 and worked there until 2003. Dr. Therese then joined Hannover Medical School as an Analytical Scientist, Post Doc for a period of two years. In 2006, they moved to Biocrates Life Sciences AG where they held various roles for a total of 13 years. Dr. Therese initially served as the Director of Product Development, where they were responsible for setting up and managing the infrastructure for medical device development. During their time at Biocrates, they successfully developed and launched several innovative and first-on-market metabolomics/lipidomics kits and assays. In 2013, they were promoted to the position of Head of Research and Development and held this role until November 2019. Finally, in December 2019, they were appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at Biocrates.

Dr. Therese Koal pursued their education at Leipzig University. Dr. Therese started their academic journey in 1995 and completed their Diplom-Chemikerin degree in Chemistry in the year 2000. Dr. Koal furthered their studies at Leipzig University and earned a doctoral degree, Dr. rer. nat., in Analytical Chemistry between 2000 and 2002. Additionally, they undertook Post-Gradual Study in Toxicology and obtained the degree of Fachchemikerin für Toxikologie from 2000 to 2003.
