Michael Richardson

Membership & Events Coordinator at Bioenterprise Canada

As the Membership and Events Coordinator, Michael’s role is to support Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine on activities related to member and partner engagement. Michael supports and collaborates with the Membership Services Team to develop positive long-term member and stake-holder relations.

Michael completed her B.A in Studio Arts and M.A. in History at the University of Guelph. Her research focused on the development of pour-over coffee technologies and its social impact on recent coffee culture. Her introduction to the agriculture industry has been through cash crop, market hog, and dairy farm operations spanning 7 years.

Employment and volunteer positions as a lab technician at the University of Guelph granted her the opportunity to work on a variety of sustainability and agriculture-based research projects. As part of the product development team, Michael used her knowledge of key tools and technologies to collaborate with students, industry professionals, and academic departments to help reach project goals.
