Federica Dimitri

Federica Dimitri is a Senior Scientist at BioInnovation Institute, starting in March 2024, and previously held the same title at Orbit Discovery from November 2021 to July 2024. Prior experience includes positions as a Research Fellow and PhD Graduate Student at the University of Warwick from September 2013 to December 2021, focusing on microRNAs and their role in adipocyte communication and metabolic functions. Federica's early training included a Trainee Postgraduate Student role at the University of Ferrara, where the investigation centered on the P2X7 receptor in cancer and inflammation, and a Trainee Student position at the same university for a Master’s thesis on non-viral vector production. Additional experience includes a Bachelor Thesis project at MD Anderson Cancer Center, concentrating on microRNA identification in Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. Federica obtained a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Warwick and a degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Ferrara.
