Mario Bourdon, PhD has over 35 years of experience in the field of research and development. Mario began their career in 1984 working at various companies. In 1989, they joined the California Institute Biological Research as a Research Program Director, where they conducted NIH- and biotech-funded research in molecular biology of tumor angiogenesis. In 1992, they moved to the La Jolla Institute for Molecular Medicine as the CEO and Scientific Director, overseeing research administration, grants administration, P&L, and senior staff recruitment. In 2008, they joined BioLaurus, Inc. as the CSO and Study Director, managing preclinical research teams, overseeing budgets and P&L management, BD, CRM, and research operations, and winning and managing high-value studies valued at $500K+.

Mario Bourdon, PhD earned their PhD in Neuro-Oncology and Immunology from Duke University and their Bachelor's degree in Biology from UC San Diego.
