Cristina B Guzman, MD, MBA, FACE has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Cristina B currently holds the position of Vice President at Biomea Fusion, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer as the Head of Metabolic and Bone, Clinical Research, Rare Diseases from 2021 to 2023. From 2019 to 2021, they served as the Senior Director Development Clinical Sciences at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. Cristina B also worked at Enanta Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Medical Director Clinical Development in 2018.

Dr. Guzman's experience in the pharmaceutical industry includes roles at Eli Lilly and Company as the Senior Medical Advisor Global Development from 2012 to 2018, and at Amgen as the Sr Clinical Scientist, Global Development, Nephrology and Metabolism TA from 2008 to 2012.

In academia, they held the position of Medical Director Diabetes at Novo Nordisk while working at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they worked at Wayne State University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 2001 to 2007, where they were responsible for clinical and basic research, patient care, and teaching Endocrinology.

Dr. Guzman began their career as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Hospital Privado Centro Médico de Córdoba from 1999 to 2001. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to medical research, patient care, and leadership in both industry and academia.

Cristina B Guzman, MD, MBA, FACE completed their medical education at the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, earning their Medical Doctor degree in Medicine from 1984 to 1990. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they completed their Master in Business and Administration degree in Business and Administration from 2008 to 2009.
