Sasha Blaug

Sasha Blaug has a diverse and extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical and investment industries. Starting in 2006, Sasha worked as an Analyst at Burrill Capital Management for a few months before becoming an Associate at Lux Capital in 2007. From 2007 to 2011, Sasha worked as an Analyst at Piper Jaffray and TWP. In 2011, Sasha joined Nomura Securities as a Healthcare Analyst, conducting due diligence and fundamental analysis of healthcare companies. In 2014, Sasha became a Senior Investment Analyst/Principal at Portola Capital Partners, a healthcare and life sciences investment firm. Sasha played a crucial role in various investment activities and assisted portfolio companies in business development and financings. In 2018, Sasha joined JAIN INVESTMENTS as a VP, managing a portfolio of biopharmaceutical investments and overseeing crucial financial activities. Finally, since December 2019, Sasha has been working at Biomea Fusion as the Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Head of Business Development.

Sasha Blaug received a BA in Biology and Political Science from Reed College. They later pursued a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and an MBA with a focus on Finance and Biomedical Ventures from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Sasha Blaug attended Columbia Business School for a short period of time, although the degree obtained from there is not specified.
