Katie S.

Katie S. has extensive work experience in the field of medical writing. Katie most recently served as the Executive Director of Medical Writing at Biomea Fusion starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director of Medical Writing at Summit Therapeutics from April 2021 to May 2022. From January 2015 to April 2021, they were the Director of Regulatory Strategic Writing at AbbVie. Katie also has experience as a Senior Medical Writer at Medpace from October 2012 to June 2013, and as a Senior Medical Writing Consultant at Randstad Pharma (remotely for Astellas Pharma) from October 2010 to April 2012. Katie started their career at Astellas Pharma Global Development in January 2009 as a Manager of Medical Writing and later held the role of Senior Medical Writer at Ledell Inc (onsite at Astellas Pharma) from September 2003 to December 2008.

Katie S. holds a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Katie also completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology at the same university.
