Carter Brown has an extensive work experience, beginning with their role as an Associate in International Sales for Gaggia España in 1995. Carter then moved to Northern Trust Corporation in 1998, where they were a Trust Administrator and was part of a team that designed and developed a web interface for the institution's wealth clients. In 2002, Carter joined Invenergy LLC as a Director of Finance, where they were responsible for the origination, negotiation, and structure of debt/equity investments between $25M and $300M. In 2009, they were recruited by KGRA Energy Corporation to be the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Carter then joined GEE Partnership Holdings in 2012 as a Partner and CFO, where they worked closely with the CEO to create the holding company and led financial operations of five portfolio companies. Finally, Carter has been the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Board Member for BioMech since 2018.
Carter Brown began their educational journey at The Lawrenceville School from 1989 to 1991. Carter then attended Vanderbilt University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a BA in Philosophy. Afterwards, they pursued an MBA in Finance and Management Strategy at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 1999 to 2002.
