Katherine Marek

Katherine Marek, PMP, possesses extensive experience in project management within the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as Manager of the Reagent Project Management Team at bioMérieux since March 2022, Katherine previously held roles with BioFire Diagnostics, LLC, where responsibilities included Senior Reagent Manufacturing Project Manager and Reagent Manufacturing Project Manager. Prior to that, a significant tenure at Rio Tinto encompassed various engineering positions, including Mechanical Project Engineer, where Katherine effectively managed multiple projects with a total budget exceeding $3 million. Additional experience includes coaching at The Front Climbing Club and leadership roles in educational and technical environments. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business.
