Alex Hastie

Alex Hastie has extensive experience in the genomics and biochemistry fields, holding various leadership positions at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since October 2013, including Vice President of Clinical and Scientific Affairs and Sr. Director of Scientific Strategy and Customer Solutions. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist at BioNano Genomics, where involvement focused on DNA mapping and related technologies, and as a Post Doctoral Researcher at both BioNanomatrix and the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, contributing to research on protein folding and aggregation diseases. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Biochemistry from The College of St. Scholastica.
