Damla Senol Cali

Staff Software Engineer, Hardware Acceleration at Bionano

Damla Senol Cali currently serves as a Staff Software Engineer in Hardware Acceleration at Bionano, where responsibilities include leading the development of a new hardware acceleration platform for analyzing Optical Genome Mapping data and collaborating with bioinformatics teams to enhance computational frameworks. Previously, Damla held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where contributions included assisting in the course on the Structure and Design of Digital Systems. Additional experience includes research internships at Intel Labs and undergraduate research and teaching assistant roles at Bilkent University. Damla earned a PhD and an MS in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Computer Engineering and a BS in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University.
