Di Wu

Di Wu is a skilled genomic data scientist currently employed at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since October 2021, following a role as a bioinformatics scientist at Tasly Pharmaceutical Group Co., LTD. from October 2020 to October 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a research bioinformatician at Cedars-Sinai from October 2018 to October 2020 and as a research assistant at Penn State University between August 2010 and August 2018, where significant contributions included the optimization of NGS data analysis pipelines and the establishment of population genetics analyses. Di Wu holds a PhD in bioinformatics and genomics from Penn State University, complemented by a master’s degree in forest management from the same institution, and a bachelor's degree in biotechnology from Beijing Forestry University. Noteworthy achievements include the development of genetic maps for green ash and white oak and the discovery of significant marker-trait associations, along with a strong background in teaching undergraduate courses and presenting research findings at various seminars.
