Staff Mechanical Engineer at Bionano

Konstantin Zamuruyev is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product development and engineering roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since August 2021, Konstantin focuses on developing new consumable products for DNA sample isolation and analysis. Prior to this role, Konstantin contributed to the design of a wearable UVC air sterilization PPE system as a Product Development Engineer at EcoMask. Konstantin's expertise is further demonstrated through experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where work involved the Ocean Worlds Life Surveyor project for autonomous life detection. Additionally, Konstantin gained significant research experience as a Graduate Student - Research Engineer at UC Davis, specializing in point of care health diagnostic instruments. Educational achievements include a PhD in MEMS - microfluidics and bioinstrumentation and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of California, Davis.
