Dr. Melanie Ruppel

Dr. Melanie Ruppel currently serves as Senior Director of Global Regulatory Operations at BioNTech SE since July 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Ruppel held various positions at Boehringer Ingelheim from February 2010 to June 2022, including Head of Regional Regulatory Specialists and Head of Global Submission Services Ingelheim. Dr. Ruppel began a post-doctoral fellowship at DKFZ German Cancer Research Center in 2009, following a PhD in molecular biology, epigenetics, and leukemia obtained at the same institution alongside Technische Universität Darmstadt, where Dr. Ruppel earned a diploma in biology and completed a diploma thesis in tumor genetics.
