Sebastian Hymson

Sebastian Hymson is a dedicated scientist currently working at BioNTech SE since May 2021, where roles have included Scientist, Associate Scientist in Assay Development, and Senior Research Associate in Assay Development. Prior experience includes a position as Associate Scientist II at bluebird bio from July 2018 to May 2021, supporting drug product potency assay method development for CAR-T products and developing NGS techniques for drug product characterization. Additionally, Sebastian has conducted research at the ETH Zurich Department of Biosystem Sciences and Engineering, focusing on HSC and MPP signaling responses, and has held a role as a Cellular Analytics Co-op at bluebird bio. Sebastian obtained a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Northeastern University and has earlier experience as a Sales Associate with Vector Marketing.
