Clinical research Lead at Biophytis

Serge Camelo has worked in the clinical research field for over 25 years. In 1996, they began their career as a Chercheur Doctorant at the Institut Pasteur. In 2002, they moved to Australia to become a Chercheur Post-doctoral at the University of Western Australia. In 2006, they returned to France to become a Chercheur Post-doctoral at INSERM, where they conducted research in Immunology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Angiogenesis, and Neurodegeneration. In 2014, they began working as an Attaché de Recherche Clinique (ARC) at URC Lariboisière-St Louis (AP-HP). In 2016, they became a Manager Project at ILTOOpharma. In 2017, they were hired as a Country Approval Specialist at PPD. In 2018, they became an Ophthalmology Clinical Project Leader at Biophytis - New Therapeutics for Aging Diseases. In 2022, they were hired as a Clinical Project Manager at AB Science and a Clinical Research Lead at Biophytis - LIVE HEALTHIER LONGER.

Serge Camelo attended Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1990 to 2001, obtaining a DEUG B in Biochimie in 1993, a Licence in Biochimie in 1994, a Maîtrise en Immunologie (Master 1) in 1995, a D.E.A (Master 2), Batchelor of Science in Immunologie, Virologie in 1996, and a Doctorat (Ph.D.) in Immunologie in 2001. In 2012 and 2013, they attended Croix-Rouge (IFSI Paris, Didot) and obtained Validation de la première année de formation Infirmier (IFSI) in 2013. Serge also attended For Drug Consulting in 2013 and obtained an Attaché de Recherche Clinique in Recherche clinique.
