Shinyoung Hong Hestbek

Shinyoung Hong Hestbek is a highly experienced research scientist specializing in molecular biology and diagnostic assay development. Currently employed at BioPorto Diagnostics A/S since October 2021, Shinyoung focuses on the development and validation of diagnostic assays across various platforms, maintaining product portfolios, and contributing to regulatory documentation processes. Prior experience includes roles as a senior postdoc researcher at the University of Copenhagen and as a postdoc researcher at both the Korea Basic Science Institute and Seoul National University, where Shinyoung contributed to experimental design, technology enhancement, and the supervision of junior scientists. With a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Jeonbuk National University, Shinyoung possesses a strong foundation in both technical and research methodologies within the field.
