Brandon Patton

Brandon Patton is the current General Manager of Consulting at BioTeam. Brandon has over 17 years of experience in the networking industry, with a focus on network infrastructure and design. Brandon began their career at Cisco Systems in 2002 as a Network Consulting Engineer and worked with tier 1 service providers to test new features, design changes, and scale on Cisco IOS-XR before general deployment. In 2012, they joined Biogen as a Principal Engineer/Team Lead and was responsible for providing direction for the overall network infrastructure architecture as well as building the technology roadmap for network services at Biogen including WAN, LAN, Data Center, and our monitoring/reporting tools strategy. Brandon represented network infrastructure when working with our business partners to evaluate existing deployments, recommend design changes, and deploy new technologies that enable the business to collaborate, research, manufacture medicine, and deliver critical services more efficiently. In 2019, they joined BioTeam as the General Manager of Consulting.

Brandon Patton has a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. Brandon is certified from Cisco in Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Routing & Switching and from Aviatrix in Aviatrix Multi-Cloud Networking Associate. Brandon is also certified from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and from Cisco in Recertified CCIE, Service Provider Written.

They are on a team with Jacob Czech - Senior Scientific Consultant, Michelle Bayly - Senior Scientific Consultant, and Karl Gutwin - Technical Director, Software Engineering. Brandon Patton reports to Bill Van Etten, Co-founder and Senior Scientific Consultant.
