Shainan Hora

Shainan received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from University of Delhi, India, following which she came to Singapore to pursue a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from National University of Singapore. Currently, she works as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at A*STAR, focusing on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, with the aim of developing novel therapeutic strategies. Shainan is passionate about the healthcare space in Singapore and wants to utilize her acquired skills and expertise to contribute back to the R&D sector. Through BCS, she wants to create awareness about the bio-pharmaceutical industry space in Singapore, encourage researchers to foster industry collaborations as well as enable their smooth transition from academics to industry. In her leisure time, Shainan enjoys badminton, swimming, hiking and reading novels.
