Jacy Gomez

Jacy Gomez has a diverse work experience in the field of communication and public relations. Jacy started their career as a Legislative Intern for Senator Charles Grassley in 2015, where they conducted research and drafted correspondence. Jacy then interned for Representative David Young, where they wrote letters and facilitated communication between House offices. In 2016, they worked as an Assistant Press Secretary for the United States Senate, scheduling interviews and writing press releases. Jacy also served as a Staff Assistant, handling constituent correspondence and conducting research.

From 2016 to 2020, Jacy worked at Keybridge Communications, first as an Associate and later as a Senior Associate. In this role, they wrote op-eds, blog posts, letters to the editor, and speeches for clients. Jacy also managed media campaigns and developed media strategies.

In 2020, Jacy joined the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition as a Senior Writer/Speech Writer, where they wrote and edited content for executives, drafted speeches, and compiled newsletters. Currently, they are employed as the Senior Director of Health Communications at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization.

Outside of their professional career, Jacy also served as the Head Debate Coach at Indianola High School, organizing practices, managing the budget, and teaching students argumentation and speech writing. Overall, Jacy's work experience highlights their strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

Jacy Gomez received a high school diploma from Indianola High School in 2012. Jacy went on to attend Simpson College between an unknown start year and 2016, where they studied Religion/Religious Studies and Spanish and earned a Bachelor's degree. In 2021, Jacy attended the University of Chicago for a short period to complete the Essentials of Project Management program.
