Caitlin Otto

Director of Laboratory at Biotia

Caitlin Otto has a wealth of experience in the field of microbiology. Her career began in 2006 as a Research Coordinator at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Caitlin then moved on to Boise State University in 2008 as a Research Assistant. In 2009, they became a Graduate Student at Arizona State University. Caitlin then transferred to the ASM Kadner Institute in 2013 as a Graduate Student. In 2014, they became a CPEP Clinical Microbiology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Director of Microbiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. In 2020, they took on the role of Molecular Clinical Specialist at Roche and Director of Laboratory at Biotia. Currently, they are the Director of Microbiology at NYU Langone Health.

Caitlin Otto obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Boise State University between 2003 and 2009, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Spanish Language and Literature from Boise State University between 2003 and 2009, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology, General from Arizona State University between 2009 and 2014.
